Reproductions
of classic Vintage Guitar Effects Pedals built to the original
specifications.
Finest handmade Fuzz, Treble Boost and Overdrive Guitar Effects.
SUPER RANGER - PNP Germanium:

The
SUPER RANGER is a high quality
clone of the
famous
1960´s Dallas
R****master.
This
Vintage Guitar Effect was used in the early years by Rory
Gallagher, Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi, Marc Bolan....
This pedal is powered with the same N.O.S.
OC44 vintage germanium transistor as used in the
60´s.
The SUPER RANGER amplifies certain frequencies and adds gain to your notes the higher you play. This will help you to cut thru the mix. This pedal works best with a mild overdriven (cranked) tube amp or into a good overdrive pedal to receive that beautiful rich tone.
This is not a harsh or shrill pedal. It adds sustain, sparkle, overtones and on heavy settings some real nice germanium crunch. This Booster colors your tone in a very musical way.
We added true bypass on/off switching and a 3-way (input cap) switch.
The SUPER RANGER uses a cherry picked N.O.S. OC44
black glass vintage germanium transistor, which is the secret for
that sweet liquid tone.
The SUPER RANGER features:
# Gain
selected N.O.S. (New Old Stock) OC44 black glass germanium
transistor from the 1960´s
...- tested for Hfe
gain, leakage and tone
# 3-way
input cap switch (gets from Clapton to Sabbath)
Middle position (classic treble boost):
stock R****master
Up position (mid boost):
is tuned for single coil guitars
Down position (full boost):
full range boost
# Vintage
carbon composite resistors
# 3PDT footswitch (true bypass switching) no tone sucking or tone
coloring when off
# RF shielded rugged aluminum enclosure
# Chassis mounted input and output jacks (switchcraft)
# Metal shaft alpha pots
# Metal faceplate
# Hand built one at the time
# Finest hand selected and tested components
# Can be used as a lead boost into your overdrive pedal
# Cleans up nicely when you roll back your guitar vol control
Power
Requirement:
9 volt battery (carbon zinc for best tone)
The SUPER RANGER has a very low power consumption - the battery
will last a very long time.
Don´t put a buffered Guitar Effect pedal (non true bypass) between your guitar and the SUPER RANGER. Even when off, a buffered pedal will kill your tone. If you use a buffered pedal put it after the SUPER RANGER.
The
SUPER RANGER is a clone of the 1960´s Dallas R****master. As the original the SUPER RANGER
doesn´t use a LED or an AC-Jack.

TREBLE BOOSTER
TUBE RANGER - PNP Germanium:

The
TUBE RANGER is the same pedal
as the SUPER RANGER without the 3-way input cap switch.
Instead of the switch there is a capacitor socket (to change
input capacitors)
For
tweaking the pedal, different input capacitors are included

FUN FACE

The FUN FACE is a high quality clone of the 1966-1968 Germanium Fuzz F*** which was used by Jimi Hendrix on the first Album "Are you Experienced" and "live at Winterland" and... . We added the Bias and Clean knob, which are inside of the most fuzz clones.
Vol (Volume): Sets the output volume.
Fuzz: Sets the amount of Fuzz.
Bias: Germanium transistors change there gain at different temperatures therefore the bias resistor has been replaced with the bias knob (a variable resistor). This knob controls the amount of voltage to the transistor. Dial in the sweet spot at around 12 o Clock. (4,5 to 5Volt stock Fuzz F***)
Clean: (pre-gain, input trim) This knob acts like your guitar vol knob, back off this knob a little bit to clean up the fuzz tone (very useful with hot humbuckers, active pickups and wah pedals). If you turn this knob full clockwise, it is completely out of the circuit (stock Fuzz F***)
The FUN
FACE uses two hand selected N.O.S.
OC44 black glass vintage germanium
transistors
which are the key for that vintage germanium fuzz tone.
The FUN FACE
features:
# Two gain
selected N.O.S. (New Old Stock) OC44 black glass germanium
transistors
...- tested for Hfe
gain, leakage and tone
# Vintage carbon composite resistors
# RF shielded rugged aluminum enclosure
# 3PDT footswitch (true bypass switching) no tone sucking or tone
coloring when off
# Chassis mounted input and output jacks (switchcraft)
# Metal shaft alpha pots
# Metal faceplate
# Hand built one at the time
# Hand selected and tested components
# Very smooth fuzz tone, with just the right amount of gain
# Cleans up nicely when you roll back your guitar vol control
Power
Requirement:
9 volt battery (carbon zinc for best tone)
The FUN FACE has a very low power consumption - the battery will
last a very long time.
Don´t put a buffered Guitar Effect pedal (non true bypass) between your guitar and the FUN FACE. Even when off, a buffered pedal will kill your tone. If you use a buffered pedal put it after the FUN FACE.
The FUN FACE is a clone of the 1966-1968 Germanium Fuzz F***. As the original the FUN FACE doesn´t use a LED or an AC-Jack.

OVERDRIVE
The
GREEN&MEAN OVERDRIVE is a true bypass clone of the vintage
808 with some extras.
This pedal
produces a transparent smooth vintage overdrive sound.
We use Poly Film Caps, Silver Micas, true bypass switching.....,
to give you that transparent Texas Blues tone.
The 3-way switch let
you select:
Classic: vintage 808
Mean: more gain
and bass
Bass: same gain
as in classic but with all the bass flow thru
Power
Requirements:
Standard 9 volt DC power adapter
(2,1mm Boss® or Ibanez®
style) not included or
one 9 volt battery.
The GREEN&MEAN OVERDRIVE has high power consumption and the use of a power supply is recommended.

THREE IN ONE / 3in1
The
GREEN&MEAN OVERDRIVE, the SUPER RANGER and the FUN FACE
- three classic effects in one Pedal.
3 Legendary Clones:
A "Vintage
808"
a " 1960`s Dallas R****master Germanium Treble
Booster" and a
"1966-1968
Germanium Fuzz F*** "
It takes a lot of time to build this pedal!

The DRIVE & BOOST & FUZZ features:
# Three
gain selected N.O.S. (New Old Stock) OC44 black glass germanium
transistors from the 1960´s
...- tested for Hfe
gain, leakage and tone
# RC4558P or JRC4558D chip
# 3PDT footswitches (true bypass switching) no tone sucking or
tone coloring when off
# RF shielded rugged aluminum enclosure
# Chassis mounted input and output jacks (switchcraft)
# Metal shaft alpha pots
# Metal faceplate
# Hand built one at the time
# Hand selected and tested components
Power Requirements:
BOOST
& FUZZ (SUPER RANGER and the FUN FACE):
one 9 volt carbon zinc battery (for best tone)
The BOOST & FUZZ has a very low power consumption and
therefore the battery will last a very long time.
Power Requirements:
DRIVE (GREEN&MEAN OVERDRIVE) and the 3
LED's:
Standard (2,1mm Boss®, Ibanez®
style) 9 volt DC power adapter not included,
or
one 9 volt battery.
The use of a power adapter is recommended.

N.O.S (New
Old Stock)
OC44 black glass vintage germanium transistors:

Stored
in original manufacture packaging
Even transistors with low leakage and the right gain sound all
different, therefore I select
these transistors again by ear for low noise/hiss and best tone.
It does not get any better than this.

Every transistor is tested for Hfe gain, leakage and tone to
recreate that
old school vintage guitar tone.

All pedals are built with love and care right down to the last detail.
